Thanks to Gord and Sheena Becker, the children in the agency are able to take part in hockey, soccer, bowling, basketball, and many different activities. Gord and Sheena's son Brad, died while saving his young daughter. Since then, they established the Brad Becker Memorial Golf Tournament. All proceeds from this go towards supporting our Little Brothers and Sisters in extracurricular activities.
Trishia is very thankful for this opportunity-
"This past year, I had the opportunity to be in three different 4H clubs. The first club was called "Exploring The Bruce". One place we went to was Cape Croker, for an Indian Powow and then we went for a hike. The night before the second club I was in what was called 100 Mile Meal. The main point of the club is to do recipes where all the ingredients are grown within a 100 miles. I had the priviledge to bake and fry different foods. The third club I was in was called "Rag Quilting". I was shown step-by-steip, how to make a rag quilt. I make a rag quilt for my baby cousin for Christmas. I really enjoyed 4H this past year and made some new friends. I would just like to thank Big Brothers and big Sisters for supporting me so I could join 4H. I was able to join 4H this year again with the help of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Becker family. Trishia.
