New staff members!

A BIG Welcome to our New Staff Members!!

Today we would like to share some excellent news.  After a long search and much discussion, we are pleased to welcome our new Mentoring Coordinators Mandi Lamb, Meagan Tibben, and Patti Townsend, and Mentor Recruiter Rachel Tavares, to our team.  Together, these ladies bring over 30 years of experience in working with youth and volunteers to our agency.  Each offers enthusiasm, dedication and also brings their own experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters to share.

They have begun to offer service to you, our clients, volunteers, friends and stakeholders, with our new service delivery model.  Effective September 4, we will deliver service by territory and no longer by program.  Each mentoring coordinator will be responsible for managing clients and volunteers across all programs in their own territory.

Here is a brief introduction to each of our new staff and you may click on their names to email them:

Mandi Lamb – Mentoring Coordinator, North Region
Mandi is a proud local resident who returned home after graduating to start her family and career.  She brings her depth of local social services knowledge and experience working as part of a partner agency to the team along with her quick wit, bright smile and ability to think on her feet.

Meagan Tibben – Mentoring Coordinator, West Region
Meagan has also returned to the area after finishing school.  She offers our agency the experiences gained at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph and her profound knowledge of programs enabled her to create a new program to address unmet needs of waitlisted youth.

Patti Townsend – Mentoring Coordinator, East Region
Patti brings her experience working with youth in counseling relationships to our team.  Her dedication and passion are both humbling and a part of the special talents she offers.  Patti is an ardent supporter of mentoring and knows first-hand the power of Big Brothers Big Sisters programs.

As they get settled in, each of our new staff will be establishing community specific visiting days and satellite ‘office’ locations where they will be available to meet with clients and volunteers.  They will also be in touch to let you know if they are your agency contact.  I hope you will join us in welcoming Rachel, Mandi, Meagan and Patti.

Warm regards,
